i consider it cheating :(

You consider what I did as "cheating"...really?

When was the last time any PC game denied you from binding all the keys, especially the alpha characters?
What I did involved NO cheating.
I gained NO advantage over anyone else, therefore I did not cheat.
I may have broken a "rule" according to their EULA, but cheat? No!

All I did was use a program to make right what EA/Dice made wrong, and allow me to play with a config I've used since Quake1 and Descent1, although I think Quake 1 had binding limitations on the semicolon, which is one of my strafe keys.

You MUST have sound to go with it or you suck

Come to think of it you could do this with one big round thin cylinder on to of the chopper using a rotating texture of wide blurry transparent blades with some ghosting in between.

Just so you know...
You don't have to make four thin blades wizzing around the top of the helo.
If you make four wide '\/' shaped blades that are slightly transparent and blurry and rotated them slowly, but used sound to give the illusion of a chopper in full flight it would give the best effect imho!!!

Good luck!

I made a BlackHawk for the Back to Karkand reverse Seige map I made, but never finished.
You started at the hotel base with the flag and had to carry it to the chopper.
The blades rotated and everything.

It's around one of my hard drives somewhere.

I love Hardcore!!! I don't care to have my enemies light up like a xmas tree, and I don't want me to either.
It suits me in that I can't keep a constant stream on an enemy very long and kill more in hardcore.
I'm an old geezer, ya know!

The only time i'll play regular is if me and a mate are wanting to fly the attack helo.
It's harder to kill, but you get more spotting from the chopper in regular.

It's all moot right now anyways cause i'm banned like a bunch of others.
In my case, and i'm not sure if coincidence or not, I had been using AHK since beta to bind jump to right mouse button and zoom to the 'L' key. Once BF3 went live the mouse button binding was fixed, but 'L' and the other chat keys weren't. I'm sure my key config is on these forums somewhere...it's weird. 'L' is my zoom key in BF3 I hit with my left pinky. I used AHK to tell BF3 that when I press 'L' make it press 'V', which I bound to zoom.

Anyways, it looks like this issue may have been fixed in an update, but I never knew about and have kept playing that way. It's a huge pain is the a$$ really. If I forget to suspend the script everything I type replaces every press of the 'L' key with a 'V'. And if I forget to enable it when I go to sight up to fire I open the squad chat box and type a long string of 'LLLLLLLLLLLLLL' and am literally frozen in place and can't do anything till I press enter. By that time i'm usually dead and ALT+TABing out of BF3 to enable the stupid script.

YES I KNOW AHK and macros are illegal, but I've had my key config for many years. I can not "just change" my config so I had to make the choice to either not play, or do what I could to get my binds straight.

Waiting on appeal to Even Balance.

I am lords8n_X is anyone want to friend me up. If you don't mind playing with a convicted PB_Felon, that is!
Hopefully i'll be back on the battlefield soon!

General Development / Re: Revenue Options: Installer & Browser Toolbar
« on: February 09, 2012, 08:26:55 AM »
I don't see that "install these extras" scam generating much income.
If you had thousands of people installing every day, maybe.

Personally I despise developers that try to scam me into installing some toolbar by having the option already selected and leaving it up to me to click to NOT install these things.

Jitspoe, I agree that you've shelled out a lot of money for this game, but is it realistic to expect to generate anything worthwhile?

As far as generating enough to contract the creation of new weapon models...
There was, not sure anymore, enough talent in the community to get this done. I offered to redo all the models for free, but never got the nod. I certainly wasn't going to create them on the chance they "might" be used. That's a lot of work. Moot point though, I haven't modeled or textured in years.

Good luck!

OH...wow that's a long time ago! :)

I hadn't played a FPS in a loooong time when I jumped into BF3.

.779 KDR

Normally I should be at about 1.8, probably somewhere around 1.2 in my old age.
As I start playing with organized people my KDR will rise...love working with a squad!

How about an airplane graveyard (in the desert obviously), with some very rough gofer like underground tunnels added in?

Wow I read my post and realized I surely am no spelling and grammar geek!!!

I was too high in school to do anything, much less even go.

Ok...
It's not a "clan" or "team" really, it's a community. It looks to be fairly organized and fun-times oriented.
I joined up to try to find people to be on TeamSpeak and play BF3 with. Will this be the right place for me...don't know yet.
Everyone seems pretty nice. My first day on TS with them some of them were surfing 4chan...sounds like good people to me!

Coincidentally, it looks like two or three GE members live around 10 miles from me and know of a few girls that go to my daughter's dance school. One of them is even in a class with one of the girls. I said they "knew of" them...everyone knows anyone that's a gamer and surfs 4chan is really a pimple faced geek that sits in the back of the class masturbating to the possibility of even brushing up against an athletic dance in the hallways of school. Or a neck-beard like me ;)

Demo Requests / Re: Request Demo for [CC]Morbid
« on: December 20, 2011, 09:35:43 AM »
The committee isn't going to do a formal request for cola's demo before they have evidence pointing at it being necessary. If you can prove to them that cola's gameplay does seem suspicious, and then have cola refuse to prove his innosense by handing out his demo for example, the committee can consider banning him. Before that happens, they won't.

How can you "prove" the need for a demo to prove someone is hacking? Seriously?
Here's proof: I think the dude/chick was hacking. Now give me the darn demo!
