Merged.

* jitspoe wonders what people get for referrals.

Just some points. It's all free, though.

And what's wrong with 'advertising' in the off-topic forum?

Could vehicles be added to the feature vote? Completely map specific, and something small, like a quadbike.

7
As long as they are map specific (and possibly in menus), so custom maps aren't forced to have them.

Do you guys all play guitar too? Is this game somehow sucking guitarists into it's fanbase?

Will the become the new "To do" list, or will only the ones at the top get done?

Hendrix didn't make the best recordings, but as far as sheer talent goes, he is easily the greatest.

No, it's the same as a flashlight. Could they be done though?

I actually meant electric torches rather than flaming.

Very nice trees. I just had a go at Barista too, and it has some nifty features. How easy would it be to port some of them to Paintball2? (Waves, a torch, trees).

General Development / Re: Another Topic About Physics

I was just messing about with the ball physics in Paintball2, and set the to move very slowly and to bounce, and I noticed that the physics sytem is actually pretty robust. Taking into account, also, the fact that skeletal animation is included, how difficult would implementing ragdolls really be?

If we get to vote for more than 1 featue (which, from the looks of it, we do) I'd also like to vote for better bot AI, "Vwep" and a female player model.

General Development / 3rd person spectator mode
« on: July 02, 2007, 04:16:41 AM »
This is included in most  modern multiplayer shooters. Basically it allows you to switch between first person and third person view (which you can rotate) in spectator mode. I think it's included in the standalone of AQ2 (not sure if it was open source though). Would this be difficult to implement, and would everyone like to see this (also, is anyone against it)? I know you are able to use a third person view, but it's the ability to rotate it that I'm asking for.

Paintball 2 Discussion / Screenshots
« on: July 02, 2007, 04:10:42 AM »
I think it's time we updated the screenshots section (they are all from build008). How about everybody posts screenshots and the best are put up in a new package? (Or jits could take them himself, but it's best to try to conserve his time for greater things).

The downloads aren't that slow. No slower than any other game.

OK, I've done that. Do you think we could find someone to help jits with this? Looking at his list, he has a lot of work to do, and maybe if we could get a physics wiz to help (if jits actually wanted it) it would speed things up, and leave time for other improvements. I'd say walaber is probably a guy to ask for physics (http://walaber.com/) but I'm not sure if he has any knowledge of the Quake engine.
