The fact of using a cheat twice, results in a ban of almost one decade, is completely incomprehensible.

Use cheats, get recked. Easy it is.

I have not played in a while, but I think the current system is not the worst. Many of the - at least older/classic maps such as castle1 and renoir - do not have too many bottleneck points. Having no clue where the enemy is might lead to totally different game, namely a more cat and mouse style of play where movement speed is getting more and more important. On the other hand this will of course also increase the level of skill required to play competitively. Therefore I am not saying changing this system is better or worse, it might just be different.

This post was just to throw up some thoughts. Since I have no time to play actively anymore, I will not vote.

Well, "selling Open Officie illegaly" is not what I would call "making profit" - I'm sure if Microsoft would get to know about it, it would easily cost them about five times more of what they earned with it :P

I'm quite sure you haven't really understood the idea behind open office. It is an open source project and has nothing to do with microsoft.

I do consider their business modell to be scamming or at least close to. I believe selling something that is available for free is even forbidden by law in Germany.

Ic3y, are the original user agreements included (when installing)? They clearly state the game should not be sold and can only be distributed as long as there is no monetary gain.

I Would say Because instead of siting base 24/7 it would actually force people to set a least of tactic on bigger map ?

Playing pbcup would nearly remove all the strafing/jumping part of the game for a map, and it can be really frustrating depending on how the opponents are willing to play it.

Small Maps like pbcup can really be a pain in the as.. if people wants to just wait for you to rush trough their lines the whole 20 minutes.

I kind of agree on your issue with pbcup. It might not be that good as a tournament map, but I think it has the right structure for a 2v2 map: a small one-way map which is unlikely to be decided by flag caps.

I don't understand why some of you are suggesting maps like pbcup_pforest or castle1 for a 2v2 tournament. Great maps indeed, but way too big. For a 2v2 setup I would go for smaller maps where you can actually fight each other in stead of just running past.

Has anyone suggested classic pbcup yet?

Yeah the quick reply preview button doesn't use AJAX so that's probably part of it.

good decision. ;)

I have had a similar problem in the past. It had something to do with my wireless card. Using a LAN-Cable solved this problem.

Not bad, not bad. I really liked your outstanding back account and the joke about the dreams of the different countries. Sorry 'bout that...

Just one thing: the topics didn't seem to relate too much. I'm not quite sure whether that might be the point of stand up comedy, but I would prefer to see a story that actually goes somewhere (e.g. (anti-)climax). This might just be a cultural thing though.
