lol apparently i needed some sleep that night. i have since figured it out, thanks for the replies. i tried a few of th gt servers and the few i tried were passworded...had a blonde moment and it spilled out here on the forums...so much for public dignity  ;D

noooo not back on the chain gang knacker...not yet anyways haha!!

it's been a while since i have played, i enjoyed playing on gt's servers. it seems like all of them are passworded now, even the pub servers...just wondering why.....

I have played in GT servers for a while now, well over a year. In all the time I have played there I have never had any problems with any of the admins. Honestly, I can't say I have even seen any of the admins there doing anything that would be called abuse. As far as map changes, at the beginning of the map or even in the middle, it's mostly because there have been complaints about the map or requests to change the map. I for one, enjoy GT's servers. They are always up, I get a very good connection, and most of the time the maps are decent maps or if you ask Snipen, Sharon or Picasso, they will change it to a map that people enjoy. Personally, I appreciate the GT server owners for dishing out their own money to give us ALL a place to play this game. Just my 2 cents, don't spend it all in one place.

i tried the b17 pretest 3 link you gave picasso a few posts up. everything works great, login worked fine, and it loaded quickly and quietly, no fuss. works fine with the server browser too, the only thing i can see that i don't like, it's more of an annoyance than anything else, is the gun is still there when i change the fov. i use a setup that my gun switches hands when i move, that  gun on the screen swapping back and forth is really distracting. is there a way to change that or turn off the gun? other than that i haven't found anything buggy with it so far.

the server doesn't teach them anything about the game except how to whine in a real server saying "respoon tyme iz 2 lung"
yeah, i have seen that too. i go in there from time to time just to waste time, it's kinda fun in its own way.  it's good for getting in some play time when all the main servers are empty. but yes...it needs some new maps. YOY! haa haa

But i would like to remind you this is paintball not counter strike. You dont die, you get eliminated

true, but some kind of spaztic motion would be funny. i know this isn't high on the priority list but it would be fun in a future build, or maybe as an add on.

any of you who like exotics and other high end sports cars will drool over this. no, i'm not talkin about your buddy's dodge neon with the super wing and the bumblebee muffler on it. this guy took a ford gt, snatched the supercharger off of it and replaced it with twin turbo's. he has definitely created a monster! here, check it out, http://www.turbofordgt.com
if you go into the video section there is a link to a 20 minute vid that shows them building it and then testing it out. this thing is insane.

faster in-game downloading should be high up on the list, especially when it comes to some of the larger maps. what about menu links to sites where the player could possibly go to get the map from a website? would that make it easier/faster for new players to get the maps?  i'm no programmer and i'm basically ignorant to what it takes to do something like this, so if it's not even feasible, disregard. i know cheat protection/detection is a BIG issue. i also know you have been workin your ass off on it but i thought i would bring it up anyways. (=
personally, i would like to see more of the hi-res textures. i think a visually appealing game with the more realistic textures would really help keep new players around. ALSO, new guns, i'm not talking about redoing all the rates of fire/accuracy or anything like that, just new gun models. some of the guns that are in the game now are obselete dinosaurs, i've seen this pointed out in a few other threads, i don't think it's vital to have in the new build, just something to look into in the future. new players that have maybe just started playing paintball irl would stumble across this game looking for paintball gear and stuff on teh internets and be drawn in by the new flashy guns they see on the fields being used in a video game. just a thought. ok i think i have rambled enough, don't want to turn this into one of those epic posts lol. if i can think of more ...i'll be back....ha

wow man. just got these and dropped em in the hr4 folder and cruised through a few maps, they look fantastic, they really pop out at you compared to the older textures. especially the wood1_1 and ncwood1, the white/offwhite really stands out. i love the way these are turning out, glad you're having fun with it too.

ahhh ok...thats why it was making me confused. cool, not as slow as i thought i was, haha. so what happens when your karma gets really high or really low? do ya get a prize for behaving or beaten severely for being a peckerhead? ya know, like an incentive program. incentives are important, learned that in rehab. lol cap'n ron ftw.
