From what I gather there shouldn't even be a poll for this. You're either banned like carcoal for the same amount of time, or you're not banned and neither is carcoal. The committee didn't vote for carcoal, Jitspoe just upright banned him for 32 days.

The options should be.

A) The topic should be banned for offenses done in the past.

B) Shouldn't be a poll for this and you should just be banned.

C) Don't be banned and carcoals lifted.

<Jitspoe>Carcoal's ban was probably a bit too preemptive.  I thought, because of the content and the fact that it was just posted, that it was recent.  Plus I had people bugging me - wondering why I hadn't taken action yet, etc.  I haven't heard anything from carcoal, though.  I tried to ask him about it when the demo was first posted, but he had recently signed off of irc.  I figured he'd contact me after the ban.  I wouldn't use that case as a precedent.
Apparently Jitspoe doesn't find carcoal's case the president of uni's.  If carcoal ever got on, he would clarify with jitspoe that that demo is 2 years old, and probably wouldn't have gotten banned.  I still voted 1024

I'm not b1tching about the ban, I don't think anyone is, other than people that want to know why, now that the president has been set, Uni has not received the same ban. Whether or not people feel he "deserves" it or not, a standard is set by that ban...

I don't get that argument, just because you had no intergrity and cheated, why must we shut the game down?  Do you assume we all need an unfair advantage?

Just as a side note, Ez, Cal, (I think Jit was in there as well) and I had a discussion back in '99 about the problem with cheaters & hacks.

If everyone that has or does play DP ever did or "just inhaled" a cheat, then there would be like 2 players left.

Most of the really good players know who they are

To bad i don't know who it is. seems I've been dealing with a bunch of two faced individuals for sometime. dirtytaco who gave you the map, and why did you accept it, and why did you not inform jittspoe that someone was going around doing it?

Furthermore, what i copy pasted was a few simple brushes that barely even resemble anything human. Uni edited our pictures and turned them into textures so we specifically were the ones being sodomized.

oh wow all 12 minutes i spent creating a generic fur tile with eye candy and actually adding a few brushes into a old map i made 3 years ago and animating it. oh wow thats like allmost 2 hardcore of dedication! OMG I DID LIKE GO ALL THE WAY!!! TO THE EXTREME MAX! *breaks a tequila bottle over his head and yells, "TO THE EXTREME!"*
