Everything works now apart from the paintball2 palette of the textures. The maps look like crap!

I don't really know how to fix this problem, and would be happy for any help.

Ahhhh... Now it works.

Copied the "textures" dir (from the pb2 directory of course) into a c:\quake2\baseq2\textures directory then the fucn program found them. It couldn't find them if I pointed the program to the original directory, I had to move them....

-Now I can play too! Lol.

Naturlich what I meant was how do I load textures to assign them to objects.

You noticed that Jitspoe. Thanks!

This has probably been answered before, but how do I use qeradiant to create pb2-textures.

I can make maps and all, but I cant seem to add textures or load the texture directory at all.

It's a bit strange making maps in radiant and then moving them to bsp for texture adding.

Can someone help?

Processor amd 64 3200+
graphics ati radeon 9800 pro
mem 1 gig
hd's too many to mention, but system partition is 200gb
monitor 17 inch Samsung LCD @1280*1024
mouse Logitech Mx310 which swaps place with an Evoluent vertical mouse 2 (seldom)
Keyboard Logitech something... ...with laptop-like keys.

The system was assembled a long time ago but still hangs on. The graphics card needs to be replaced soon tho', but I cannot still decide wether to just change graphics card or rebuild the whole system...

Yes... There was need to start a new topic on this.

Next time its topic time "My shoestring's untied".
If you not approve, you have the option not to read... ...or even to reply at all!

Are you by any chance wasting valuable office time? Boss is away I guess! :D

The mouse... ...its not working out in games at all. I've mailed the company with some input but they only said that my problems were experienced only by a handfull of people and that I hit the mousebuttons too hard.
Well funk me then! Sorry that I play games rather than using Micro$oft Word where the mouse is of little use anyways.

I just wanted to try this mouse out. And at 50 usd at ebay I couldn't resist. (list price 100 methinks)

So I'm back into the twist-a-wrist mouse league again. Not that it even bothers me at all. (been into computers since the Atari 400 and Vic20 era and mousing since the switch btw C64 and Amiga time)

Kisses and hugs,
/Your (swedish) Mother!

Recently I've started playing with an Evoluent vertical mouse.

What that means is that I am basically getting killed by each and every noob and cannot seem to jump straight anymore.

The mouse is actually quite comfy, but not optimal (yet) for PB2.

So kill me while you can!  ::)

This has probably been discussed before, but I think that it'd be only fair if the small 12-grams CO2 would load faster than it's bigger counterparts.

In real paintball there's normally some sort of speed change ability for small co2s and you only have to twist a button about 1-2 twists...

Oh, yes.

Jitspoe: If I am cheating in a bad way now please tell me so and I'll replace the sounds and keep on playing with sounds off.

I wouldn't like to be banned because of this and I'll do anything you say, Master!
;)

The sounds I deleted was the startup sounds. Right when the round starts there's a lot of Beavises and Buttheads making a whole lot of noise.
When hearing those samples for the 2nd time they are simply annoying.

If that is a hack, then I am a hacker!
In all the levels I've played those sounds have quieted down when striking the first encounter with the "enemy", so it is my honest opinion that this does not interfere with gameplay at all.

The other sounds are unchanged. All the steps, dyings, environmental and so on are still there for me atleast.

...But on another note, I still play soundless most of the time. :)
Which basically means that all you others have an unfair advantage over me. CHEATERS! lol! :D

Update on the step counter:
On a lazy day, when I didn't leave my apartment other than one time going the few yards to the car and drove to the postal office, I made 5375 steps just being at home.
I have been told that the average american takes 3-5000 steps a day, which would make me the above average american. Or would this make me anti-american and get me bundled in with all the other terrorists abroad?

Hell... That might be cheating even...

I am confused now.

Some day I'll modify that step counter, put it on my screen and add the steps taken in DP to those 5375. Then I'll be on my way to EXTREME FITNESS!!!!

Who-hoooaaahhhhh! :)

/Your mother from Sweden -Land of the polar beers?  NooooOOOO!!!!

Better stop now before anyone thinks I'm crazy. It's not me being crazy, it's the other personalities in me that are!

Egads! That worked.

I simply deleted all the samples that do not have anything with the game to do and PB2 does not even ask for them.

Excellent coding I'd say (being an old coder myself).

Of kourze I made a backup directory of the original sounds. Me not be stoopid, just crazy!

And today I'm wearing a step counter to see what kind of distance (in steps) I travel each day.
Do steps taken in DP count?

Now I'm off to do some housecleaning before dropping head first into a game of digital paintball!

Oh, yes:

I always play with sound off so you can sneak up on me if you like!
Dunno why, I don't like computer-game sounds normally and the paintball2 "fun" samples drives me MAD!

Jits: Gimme an option to skip all samples except steps and shots!

The truth about "your mother".

I should probably learn to camp more. Right now I run into the centre of trouble and is often the first one killed. _Cannon fodder_  :)
I could not aim if my life depended on it. Spray and pray.
I have a couple of "say" binds that you all are tired of by now.
I have a strange sense of humor, like killing someone on a jump server and then arguing with the admin about the greatness of doing so until tempers start to run hot and the next second say "just kidding".

Oh... That was about my gaming.
I am an old Swedish man thinking he's young (34). I play for fun only. I don't want to join your clan (unless it's the Manson clan or something equally thrilling). I live with my gf that tries to keep me from playing Digital Paintball as often as possible.

That's it.

Hope I bored the sh*t out of you!  :D
