Paintball 2 Discussion / Basic tutorial in alpha 36
« on: October 28, 2012, 10:15:11 AM »
It's cool that there is now a basic tutorial in DP, but is there a way to skip this on launch?  In my opinion, There should be a link in the main menu  to allow new users to launch the tutorial. Personally, I want to go straight to the main menu, and now have to escape the tutorial.

Is there a way to launch PB2 like before, going straight to the login menu?

Curious as to what the current status of the next release is. Still holding obviously.

Not the ideal solution, but it does work as advertised. Thank you very much.

Help and Support / Local Lan server issue...
« on: October 09, 2010, 02:05:26 PM »
I have 4 systems connected through an 8 port switch, and I can see every computer from each in windows. 2 are  XP systems, and 2 are windows 7.

When playing paintball, I use the 2 more powerfull win 7 systems as servers. Or at least I try. The weaker of the 2 seams to work best as the server that everyone can connect to. It seems to serve well, but can't see any of the other systems as a client. The preferred stronger win7 system can be seen without issue by 2 of the 3 remaining systems. I'm stuck! It was working until recently when I added the 2 other systems. Between the 2 win7 systems, I could serve between either system, but now I cannot.

Somethings changed on that system besides adding the 2 new, and I'm completely baffled.

Anyone got any pointers on how to get the weaker system to be a client of the stronger system?

SkaDooSh, Yeah, I realize these forums are aging, but I was really hoping that this was still popular enough to have been updated with new links.

webhead, thanks, but that doesn't seem to work either.

What I'm really trying to do is get the r_speeds command to work. Nothing I've tried in the console seems to work. This is currently all I'm trying to accomplish. If someone could walk me through this...

I'm sure it's quite simple, but I have no direction at the moment.

It's currently a dead link... Is it elsewhere?
