rooftops texture problem

i was just wondering what was goin on here. i asked if anyone else could see it but noone responded

vid_restart should fix that.

It's like the same thing that happens in pp1 on the textures around mid low ice. Unexplained random texture switches

Something to do with the hashing, I believe. There's some command to turn that off.

When I was doing the thumbnails, after doing a few tens of maps, the same thing started happening.

It seems like it only happens with .wal files (the solid white textures are .wal's).  Why, I don't know.
