DP2 Development Toolkit
« on: November 17, 2007, 12:39:53 PM »
I was bored and haven't done anything for DP for a while so I made this simple Toolkit style thingy. It's just a load of programs for DP2 development. Here's what's included:

Code: [Select]
Credits:

Auto Demo Browser by Eiii
Keygrip Recam Instructions by Xile
DP2Demo by TinMan
DPTools by ViciouZ
Map Thumbnails Pack by Sk89q
BSP by sort (PB2 pack by Jitspoe)
DPRun by Cobo
DPConvert by y00tz
Scale Ruler by y00tz
CTP SDK by y00tz & others
Pakexplorer by Ashley Bone
Paintball2 Palette by Jitspoe
Wally by Ty Williams

Put together by ViciouZ

And quite a few links to useful sites and tutorials.

You can download it here:

If this is useful for anybody, enjoy.

If I ever get a steady build of my Paintball2 developer edition, I'll hand it over.

Stuff I had in mind (some of this I've added):
-unlimited screen caps
-function to find average r_speeds and FPS for given time
-tweaked menus to add for easy access to toggle r_speeds, debug1, etc.
-screenshot functions for a variety of different settings
   a.  screenshot 1 = regular screenshot
   b.  screenshot 2 = with hr4 textures, then immediately again without (same exact view)
   c. screenshot 4 = same as above, but with r_speeds
  d. screenhsot 8 = same, but w/o hud
etc.

-choice between using three different texture packages (and option to switch between them in-game)
   a. regular pball textures
   b. textures with 'scale' attached (i.e. like my scale texture, but overlayed)
   c. lighter and darker shades of same textures (to get a feel for how an area would feel, lighter or darker, without demanding a huge recompile)
-tweaks to never ping masterlist (i.e. lessened chance of modified contact ban)

the list goes on.  I know it's superfluous but it probably wouldn't hurt anything ;)

I guess it could be like garry's mod, but it would be neat to have hotkeys to spawn a static character so you could see how they look in relation to map, etc.  Probably not possible... I don't know.
