I reccomend getting VentriloMix. It combines 3 versions of Vent and also includes support for TeamSpeak2.

Download Link Here

P.S. - y00tz this is not pirated software it is free from filefront

Sweet, thanks KiLo. Btw, is it the same setup? If not, I'll do an update on my guide.

Hey nopyo, how do I set up my own clan's server type thing within the DP server?

That I don't know, ask a committee member. I don't think it's like IRC where you register your own channel, I think a server admin has to make it for you. But, I don't know, I'm just guessing.

this is the version I use. to be able to use this one i have to use the top vent choice. And yes nopyo, this is exactly the same I believe except it allows you to select from 3 versions to use.

How do I make everything people are saying come through my headset and not my speakers?

Um...plug it in? :P

Is it a mic+headphones or just headphones?

It is both, and I'm not kidding, no sound comes through the headphones, it just goes through the speakers.

Ok, just to clarify, there are 3 plugs for audio equipment in the back of the computer (pink, green and blue), which plug are you using?

Pink and blue. Green is for the speakers.

Ah, there's the problem, should be pink and green. Unplug the speakers.

Pink=sound input
Green=sound output
Blue=?

Yes. But I'll see if I can make it so that i can use the speakers for the paintball sounds, and the headphones for vent.

why not use them for both? thats what normal people do. just adjust the sound for paintball and the sound on vent to the way you prefer it.

I think the only way you can use both headphones and speakers is to have two sound devices.  It's better to just use headphones for everything, though, otherwise people are going to hear your paintball sounds through the microphone.

Yeah I figured all that out now, and just throwing this out there, xfire's sound quality is way better than that of Vent's :)

Then you must be in a vent server/channel with a terrible codec.  I've never played with xfire's voicechat, but I know that Vent's is pretty good on the higher bitrates, once everyone's mics are at the same level.
