How to set up fastforward and rewind in my config

I don't know if i'm stupid or not but i searched fast forward in the search engine and copied and pasted the commands in my con fig but it doesn't work for me. I don't know what i'm doing so if someone can help by step by step instructions ill be on irc in #team_ij channel name Phenom
