Finally got around to making a pic of what I mean. Now bear with me I am not the best in Paint.



All the lines will be paths or tunnels which ever you decide to make them.

Edit: Just move the jail somewhere else too.

Edit2: Just realized that I was retarded and switched the colors.

Ty kilo, i'll make the mid ones goto the low mid area from underneath.  Instead of using ladders i'll make it a dj section all the way up.  Still newbie friendly if they take the top route.  For the ones that go round back i'll add barrels and so on down the track.  I'll also might label the low paths with numbers like 1 and 2 alongside the bases to help people with recon.  No point doing the top one since every corner they do if its left its base 1 and right its base 2.

Ok, beta 5.  This has got the backdoors.  Only just realized that jits had posted so i'll update that stuff in beta 6.  I also agree that those jumps are hard so im gonna add ladders there.  The backdoors are like Kilos paint thing.

Wow that lower path is brutal but I like it a lot. Makes a good challenge. Also found a nice little camping spot down there.

Jits:  Im a bit confused with both of the revision things where you say the top/bottom of the barrels should be the line.  If its one of these below can u tell me or show a pic cos i dont really know what you mean right now.

Lol, it took me a while to make it look like that.  Bit funny.  If you look at the demos jits talks about Top/Bottom, im wondering if he is talking about putting it on the bottom.  If so then i'll have to move all of the barrel up 5 units since the bottom of them are on 0.  I dont like the floors being 64 or 32 so i make them 5.  If i have 2 i will move them up.

With the barrel on the left, hit alt L to lock the texture work in place and then just clone that sexy looking barrel to all the other bad looking ones that Jitspoe told you about.  Saves a lot of time when it comes down to you having to fix the textures on each individual barrel.

Thats what all of the barrels are and i have locked all of the barrels so they are the same.  I think it is just the fact that they need moving up a bit so u can see the bottom line on them.  Like i said, the ground level is 5 units thick.  I just need to move them up a bit and then it should be fine.  Hopefully.

Ok, FINALLY i found some time to make beta 6.  The barrels are exactly perfect and neither are the ladders.  Only moved the barrels up 5 units since they were under the ground.  Looked at the demo from jits and fixed all of the stuff in there.  Also made it a bit more newbie friendly.

Some of the blue barrels still aren't quite right.  Some of the spawns are backward.  I don't really like the camper ledge you teleport to.

I figured it might be beneficial to watch a demo of some other people playing.  When I loaded the map up on the beta server, there were a couple people on, so this should help you get an idea of how people react to your map, what they get confused by, etc., so you can try to improve it.

Edit: Also, there's an unknown/none texture somewhere in your map (try the texture search feature in BSP).  You should fix that.

Edit2: You should also check out the ladder tutorial so you can make ladders that you don't get stuck on the sides of.

Yeh, noticed that at school today.  Started to play paintball and that same thing came up.  I was really wondering what it was, thought it was a missing texture or something.

Ladder thing.  Right now, 2day being monday i recieved like 4-5 assignments due friday so im probably not even going to get a look at my computer.  I'll get around 2 it when i get some time.
