mystery map!
« on: April 09, 2006, 10:48:49 PM »
okay, i really want to know the name of this map because i don't have it anymore and it had great gameplay and i'd like to see it return to servers.

this is NOT a new map, only someone who has played for about 5 years or so would know this. it was on my maplist when i hosted a dp server for about a month in 2001 or so, and i haven't seen it since.

there was lettering above the windows in the middle, i think it was DPL or maybe PBL... it was one of those leagues made back in the day.  i have no idea who made the map, but i'm pretty sure it's no one that's still around...

i also kinda thought the name of the map was like dpl.bsp or pbl.bsp or something that had the actual league initials in it, but again i'm not sure.  if you have this map please track me down, i want it badly.

EDIT:  the middle of the map is about the total size of the middle of sandtrap, or something equally mid-ranged.  the map is not arctic2, it's much much smaller than that (you could cross the bridge in like 3 strafe jumps) and there is no ice/water at all in the map

It's amazing that your drawing is actually the real map design. I even could not draw some of the most frequent maps, such as indune or castle1...

DT is the official map data base. Not suprised at all he guessed it.

Suprised I am that Jitspoe has not piped in about spawning with or near cockers.  :)

Hmmm.... I guess I didn't see where dt came up with the name... I thought I figured out that it was yas.... musta missed it by just a few minutes since I posted the answer about 5 minutes before dt called for that quote.
But I'll definately give dt credit for cyckotown...
