I'm pretty sure it's a mouse and/or Windows problem that I can't do anything about.  The MS mice seem to be more prone to it for some reason.

so does every other mouse ,and it only happens on q2 mods.

I can do the same on my desktop, sometime i stop the mouse (Logitech 500) and the pointer starts to crawl from left to right or right to left.

Purchase a level from a hardware store and ensure that your mouse surface is level on the left-right axis.

get the 2 foot level...not the 4 foot one
