ati allinwonder video card
« on: May 25, 2008, 11:49:00 AM »
So i got this new video card a week or two or so ago. Trying to start dp it said that its not openGL compatible. Like it is usual for such error i downloaded new drivers. Then I got into dp, but the framerate was awful. From what I was used with the old video card (stable 85) the fps dropped to 40.

I did all the commands there are possible to increase the framerate (disable v-sync, disable water) and some console commands edgecrusher feed me, but nothing increased or decreased the fps. Then iced suggested to get xp sp2 as it had fixed the similar problem from him, but that did not help me.

so, are i intercoursed?

First:

Boot in to safe mode and remove ALL of the video drivers and references to your video card.

Reboot

Boot back in to safe mode and remove the video card from device manager.

Reboot

NOW install the new drivers.

You have to reboot every time you remove a vid card driver and you must do it in safe mode.

Video Adapter: All-In-Wonder 128 Pro AGP
 3D Accelerator: Ati Rage128 Pro

And it required restart after installing the drivers.
