Sound Request: Footsteps in Snow
« on: January 10, 2006, 05:09:04 PM »
I've recorded a bunch of footstep sounds, but there's one surface I haven't been able to record them on: snow.  It doesn't snow around here. :\  If any of you have any decent recording equipment and snow around, could you go run around outside and record it?  The sounds need to be high quality (at least 16bit, 44khz. I've been recording in 48khz).  They will be released under the terms of the GPL.

I'd love to help but it's been raining here.... :(
Oh and I don't have any sorts of portable recording equipment :)
This sounds like a task for RoyalBlood, depending on how the precipitation has treated him.

Raining in Canada during the winter?  What the crap?

I've been using a laptop with a good mic hooked up to it for my recordings.
