What to do with a Source Code

Just wondering....

I downloaded the source code and I have C++.  What am I able to do with the source code?  Like am I able to change the game and if so how to I make that part of the game.

You are able to modify the engine - this allows you to add and change features that affect graphical effects and sound handling but not physics or gameplay. However, if you use a modified client to play online you will be banned.

ahhh thanks for telling me ViciouZ because that was what I was wondering if I could do.  Then what can i used a modfifed client for.

You can make graphical improvements, test them, refine them, then if they are of any use, don't horrendously rape resources and look pretty enough, send a patch file to jits so he can include them in the next build. But I doubt you'll be doing that any time soon.

That's not a "modified server", it's a genuine game proxy mod.  It's running on a fresh install of Build 23.. paintball2 and gamei386.so untouched.
