Direct Connect To CounterStrike Server

Let's say that I wanted to play a 1v1 game against my friend on Counter Strike: Decayed Lite. Let's also say that we can't figure out how to connect to each others games. Do you have to run a server like you do for DP2, or can you connect directly and we're just doing it wrong?

IIRC You can create a loca lmultiplayer server just like in DP.

You just have to make sure that you have the correct ports open and forwarded on your router.

So, you're saying that I just have to start a new game and he just has to use "connect *IP*" to get onto it? We've been trying that, but we could give it another shot. Thanks.
