Can't get my clan tag to work

I created a clan and everytime I put my clan tag on it kicks me out of the game and says I can't use that tag.

your name is probably too long or you are using too many colors

What is your clan tag and the nick you use?  Please tell the colours you use, I wouldn't advise you to use more than 2/3 colors.

Maybe you wrote your tag incorrectly.
Have you added to your profile names your name with the tag...I don't know if it's necessary but give it a try.
