If I had 350 laying around I'd snatch one of those up in a heartbeat, but i only have about 240 that I can just blow at the moment

Dont know that I would trust Seagate at the moment

Yeah, I've seen that.  At least it's just a firmaware issue and you don't actually lose data.  I wouldn't use this as a system drive, but it's great for games/data storage/etc.  I have one and haven't had any issues with it yet.

This isn't a deal per se, but I noticed when subbing to Edge, you can get a year for $75 by using this link:
http://www.imsnews.com/home.php?page=magPage&pubid=92

Which is the direct link from IMS, but you can get a year for slightly cheaper using this link:
http://www.imsnews.com/home.php?page=magPage&pubid=431

Just a little tip for anyone needing to re-sub.

OCZ 120 gig solid state drive for $200 shipped:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227361

I was thinking about getting a solid state drive for swap space, but then I found out most of them have slow write speeds, so that isn't a good idea. :(

A friend of mine is selling ps3's that his dad got for $200 and they're refurbished and in working condition. Don't know if he'd be willing to sell them online, but I could ask.

He's got quite a bit of them.

What do you mean by re-furbished? and what quality condition? And do you know what price he is looking to sell them at? Thanks
