Pain And Paint - Work in progress
« on: August 06, 2006, 10:31:07 AM »
I've been working on this map lately. The layout is all done, but I still think it needs more stuff in there. Yes I know, I didnt finished my last map :P but i was getting kind of tired of it, and I even lost the .map files.
Here are some screenshots...

Any ideas of what else I can do?

maybe add some trees or waterfalls something to make it look better and to fill in the area

I know.
I been having some problems with the sky, idk.
when i move the cursor the sky looks like it is slowly dissolving. and that messes with my view.

It's his video card.  The sky isn't the only problem.  There's other funky stuff going on.  Look at the first top-down shot.

The map needs more... stuff in it.  It's mostly just bland, open space.  The flag looks far too easy to defend.  You have to go through a small doorway then climb a ladder.  It would be trivial for a single person to defend.

very very basic. add stuff in it. Look at the original maps. Think about what you see in nature, and try to put it in the map without having outragous R_SPEEDS

and don't just fill the map with crates and barrels.

Kinda old thread... I'm not sure, but I assume that development on this has stopped.

not supprised, Cobo seems to take up most of his time arguing either with me or abusing his ops power.

ops power.
OMFG SUPETANKER WHAT HAVE I DONE TO YOU BEING AN OPS?
Never, I repeat never, banned you, nor kicked you, In fact, I only kicked 1 person, maybe 2 and just one of them was banned, for 1 minute, so be quiet.

If you're still working on this map... I'd suggest mixing up the ground textures a bit.  Maybe change the hills to a close but not exact texture as the flat ground. Maybe a rock or 2 for me to hide behind, move the flag out from the corner and add a ramp or someway for a quick grab.
If you're not still working on this map... n/m :)
