when i start paintball 2 i get an error "make sure you have an openGL video card and that the latest drivers are installed

When i try to update my drivers i get another error
that says its not capable of runing ms-dos with microsoft windows program

What drivers did you try to install?

i think it was one from ati the rage 128 pro im not sure it didnt have a name

it was Windows XP Display Driver build 6.13.3279

That doesn't really tell me what driver it is.  What card do you have?  And what OS (what version of Windows) are you running?

i have the rage 128 pro and am runnning on windows XP

You should really consider getting a new system.  Even if you get the game to run, it probably won't run very well.  The rage drivers are pretty crappy, too.
