paintball2 wont work on linux laptop (eee pc)

hi
im seeming to be having an error where
A: i cant download anything - i cant run any installers etc and idk how to use the console
B: paintball just wont work - i download the linux file on dplogin - save it to disk - and then go to my documents and open folder - click paintball2 and it says this:

so i press enter and it disappears - nothing happens :|

Try running it from the console:

cd /path/to/paintball2
./paintball2

I doubt it's going to run very well on an eeepc.

is it cd /path/to/paintball2 <ENTER>
then ./paintball2

? or all in one command?

i tried both and it said this:

path/to/paintball2 = where you have your paintball installed, hence the PATH / TO / PAINTBALL

By the way, you do have to actually extract the 'linux file'

... um how do i extract using linux? :\ and where shall i extract too :\

Right click the tar.gz file and select "Extract here."  It doesn't matter where, but I'd suggest in ~/ (your home directory).
