Jeez, what a crazy story. I can't stand it when people make rash and knee-jerk reactions to alleviate pressure from not-necessarily rational lobby groups.

Can any of our German community comment on how likely they think these laws are to pass into stone?

yes they want to ban paintball cause they say its like "practising a real kill" and it would make everyone playing it meddling aggressive. they say its like learning to handle a real gun. and some video games are already forbidden.

They censored MoH:AA, or forced players to patch it so that there were no Swastikas in the game, right?

Everything with a Swastikas is banned or censored to not show them in Germany... always (since the end of WW2) has been.

Gesh Thought It was bad my my school denied a paintball tourney........ So i put a lil more effort into and got it approved and was a bunch of fun
