Are there any servers that isnt password protected?

As an old player coming back (the old foxes here might know me as Asatoth) I wonder, what happend to the open servers? I tried to play today and found about 50 servers. 45 where password protected. 5 were open but empty.
May I ask what has happened?

Protected = Match Servers.

Any server with the name Match or something like that in will be password protected, but there is usually a pub with players in it.

Whats the special with match games?

And I looked through the map, finding only like 5 match servers,. And 4 pub servers, though the PUB servers are locked too,

Oh im sorry. I missunderstood, The italic servers used to be locked before. when i played lol

If the map is in italics, it means you don't have it and must download it when you connect to the server.
