New/Need help

I found this game when I was at a computer camp and I love it, so addiciting and no one crys ...Atleast not 24/7. I would like so help with a few things. One how do people get cool looking names like difrent colored and cool text? Mines boring. Secondly, how can I change my aimer, the current one is hard to use for me because I'm new... Third off is there a ventrlio or xfire I can join I know this has irc but I'm really stupid and don't know anything bout it.

(P.S) can someone help me with my skill i'd rate it a 2/over 9000.

for differnt colord names you press ~ the bring un the console and u type in menu setup_funname.
For the aimer aka crosshair you presss the ~ key agian to bring up the console and type crosshair 1-13.
