HI.

Paintball2 is running absolutely fine in build 0.30 in all distros.

There are 2 slightly annoying things though

1) The sound driver:-

- If I use OSS it is 100% fine.
- If I change to alsa the sound sort of cuts out 1/2 way through every sample/sound.

The thing is OSS can't be used to mix sound channels - i.e - I can't play an mp3 and play paintball2  at the same time and have sound
- Alsa it does mix fine, but there is an issue with the sound generally from the alsa driver .

- Are there any other tweaks anyone can suggest to get the existing alsa driver to be usable?

2) Very very minor - the tab key

- in Linux if you hold the TAB key it keeps switching between showing scores  very frequently - essentially I have to keep pressing it quickly so I can see the scores...

Just being curious, how well does snd_driver sdl work? I saw that snd_sdl.so was included in the b30 release but haven't tried it yet.

Hi Viciouz - Thanks for pointing out the sdl driver (I just didn't see that...)

It works fine thank you  - the sound doesn't cut out and now I can play music and play the game at the same time.

Cheers
