Build 31 - Preview

The server build with interpolated hitboxes is online at one of jitspoe's servers (EV1-ALT - Pub 1).

All changes are made by jitspoe, ViciouZ and me.

WHAT'S NEW:

Build 31 (2010-??-??):

- Bugfix: Crash when no profiles present.
- Bugfix: Eating Paintgrens.
- Bugfix: Netgraph doesn't wrap around at high resolutions.
- Bugfix: Double ball shooting thing.
- Bugfix: Names not showing up when you put your crosshair over somebody.
- Bugfix: Crash with some negative value for skinnum.
- Feature 10217: Interpolated hitboxes.
- Feature 10074: Players without a name are now "nonameXXXXX" (XXXXX = random number) instead of "newbie".
- Feature 10008: Remove Player Model in First-Person Chasecam. (thanks zuluzet)
- Feature 10010: Autobalance is tweaked and done: (Options: g_autobalance 0 = no autobalance, 1 = autobalance, 2 = autobalance and don't allow team changes)
- Feature: Added versioninfo to the paintball2.exe file.
- Tweak: Changed filename from demos started with arecord. It's now like the filename from the autodemo on a server.
- Tweak: You can change the position from the real time clock. Use "cl_drawclockx" and "cl_drawclocky" to change it. Default is "-1" on both commands = centered on the top of the hud (like build 30).
- Tweak: Added the resolution 1600 x 900.
- Tweak: Removed unused commands ("gl_nobind", "gl_poly", "gl_texsort", "gl_polyblend", "gl_ztrick", "gl_playermip").
- Tweak: Increased number of screenshots to 9999.
- Tweak: Added players build number to the "names" / "players" output.
- Tweak: Grenades should bounce in a physically correct manner and be easier to land in the correct location and behave more intuitively and consistently now.
- Tweak: Added some new words to the blockedwords ist.
- Tweak: Reduced occasional hitches while playing.
- Tweak: Enabled archive flag for cl_swearfilter.
- Tweak: Changed saturation limits (old: 0.0f; new: 0.2f).
- Tweak: Added ftp:// support to the webload command.
- Tweak: Support for the media keys from your keyboard (ingame ogg player).

You make it sound like an official release when I'm just testing a couple server side things online.

The random name thing is fixed.  I just have to upload the changes.

gl_ztrick was removed?  That sped up things on older hardware. :\

Balls bounce differently.  You can still bounce balls off the wall but its almost like they bounce less.  When you bounce things off vertical objects they go straight up or straight down.  Not sure if this is due to the new interpolated hitboxes or the new ball physics.  The demo decently explains what I'm getting at but its really easy to tell when you bounce the balls for yourself.

Ok me and selda have done some testing around this build and we found 2 bugs:1) There is most of times no name on player when you aim on him
2)If you are handy you can shoot 2 balls at once :D > demo

Idk if the demo will show it if it wont i will record video and post it on youtube (you have to aim on the wall and stand near that when you shot in the angle higher than 135 degrees it will shot 1 bullet on the wall and second on the ceilling (testing on base high at pp1) at once)
