Texture help!
« on: April 22, 2011, 05:18:43 PM »
Ok so i have a lot of jump maps, but i think most of my textures are missing. Like i get the gray and white checkers everywhere, and i think it may mean i dont have the textures. So what im asking is if anyone has or knows where i can get a texture pack, or even individual files. Thanks!

The jump maps were made for Quake 2 and since this is a mod it doesn't have the textures needed.

these are the actual textures this map uses, so you're not missing textures or anything it's just the maps actual textures.

Uh, no. It means you don't have the right texture(s).

You can also try to play the map on one of the [OTB] server, we should have uploaded all available textures there.

It should, but Windows doesn't come with any proper program for it these days, just has its compressed folders that open .zip and .rar and stuff, which is just stupid.

Link is broken
Go get WinRAR or something.

7-Zip is free.

WinRAR is free?  Evaluation version lasts forever.  Both will work just fine though.

The link is indeed broken. It worked fine for me yesterday, although running windows XP.

Peazip decrypted the file for me.

Maybe the server is offline?

but 7-zip and PeaZip are truly free (as in FOSS) -- therefore I see no advantage in using a proprietary program like WinRAR. :)

It works now, and thanks. May I ask where to extract the file?
