No sounds at all

I have been using linux ubuntu for awhile and all the sounds worked perfectly but since 3 days ago no igame sounds play at all and i havent changed ANYTHING i would really like to get the sound back ty

reinstall what ubuntu or pantball

and i only want to reinstall as a last resort

running a full install over your current files will restore the damaged/missing files as far as I know

Did you install one of the ubuntu auto-updates, maybe?  Also, I think if something is using the DSP device, it won't let paintball use it, or something like that... I think you can also change the driver to alsa with s_driver or snd_driver.  I don't remember offhand and can't look it up at the moment.
