Changing map rotation
« on: February 27, 2013, 11:43:47 PM »
Hey there,

I've come across a couple of issues with my server. Firstly, when I go to add maps to the rotation, I am told that the maps are unavailable. I assume that I have to add these maps to the server, how do I do this?

Secondly, I added a map (midnight) to the server, then I removed it afterwards. Now, for some reason the server is not running at all. It was fine before, now it isn't appearing on the server list for anyone, what gives?

All the map .bsp files need to be on the server for them to play.  If you were using midnight to launch the server (+map midnight), but you removed the file, the server will not be able to fully launch, so it won't be on the list.

Thanks for the help jitspoe. Just a quick newb question (I'm actually trying to assist a friend to do this, rather than myself) - Are the files on the server simply accessible from selecting a certain drive on 'my computer' (on a windows PC) ?

What kind of server is it?  Usually you access those things via SSH or FTP.

Thanks again for the help jitspoe. It's accessed via SSH.
