New physics in build 38?
« on: July 03, 2013, 03:27:00 PM »
Did the physics change? I can't seem to do low speed on pp1 like I used to be able to...It feels super awkward moving or trying to turn while strafing..

Hmm, it's almost certainly just the power of suggestion, but I've had a couple of incidents just recently that in retrospect could be attributed to a change in the physics engine. I doubt it changed though.

lol that's never happened to me before, but protoman said it was because of the new update.

The physics changed prior to build 38, but it's server side (so not all servers are necessarily running the new physics settings).  Moving and turning while strafing should not be any different.  The only thing that's different is that you shouldn't get caught on steps any more and you have control moving on ramps.  If you want to bounce/skip down ramps in the old manner, you need to hold the jump key down.

Okay thank you, I noticed myself getting slowed down on the speed ramp low on pp1. Thought something was slightly different...5tup1d my3r5 l0l
