[BUG] AceBots..?

I had a few minutes to kill and nobody was playing dp, so I filled Supermans Speed up with bots and changed to 3v3 tourney.  

When the map loaded my name had changed to ACEBot_12, I coudln't see the scoreboard, my view was all zoomed in (fov still at 130).  All kill notifications were gone too.  It's like it applied all the bot settings to me..



First image is showing how my name changed to ACEBot_12, I am still logged in as OP, it says I have build 0, you can see how my view is zoomed in.  And you can also see the messages about picking up items, which I always have disabled.




Second image showing my name is still set to Superman, but when I talk it shows as ACEBot_12



Third image just shows zoomed in view.






I will update my servers to the latest build some time today, just wanted to post this interesting bug.

It's normal superman. You can be a bot: bots doesnt need to fill server password, cannot use login command to login as administrator etc.

This bug was reported at least 4 times since I reported it few years ago. But wasn't even confirmed by jitspoe or fixed as far as I know.

Ah I guess it is the same bug,  I saw the other topics before posting but since this exact problem wasn't reported I thought I should post anyways.   I guess the bots are just bugged in general.


Maybe some extra information that can help jitspoe prevent this with the new bots:  There were two real people in the server, I added 14 bots bringing the server to its maximum  16/16.  Then I changed the map to 3v3tourney and when I got in the game I became a bot.

Well, Jitspoe's still not done with his Bot AI yet, and I was reading it and came across this, which might be the reason of your problem because it was after you switched the map.

To Do:

- Handle map switching

Currently, on map switches, all the bots drop out but do not get reloaded (but the botlib still thinks they're there).

Yeah, acebots are kind of buggy.  They've been scrapped, though, and I'm writing new bots from scratch.  Hopefully those will be less buggy, but I make no promises.
