Server running on android device

beacuse android devices have more power nowadays and consume less energy I'm wonder if there is any chance to run server on a cellphone?

Mayby installing Linux on cellphone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zpwebsites.linuxonandroid
will allow to run paintball server? I wonder if it is possible, because it would be great to run server all the time, not just when pc is running Cellhpone is much smaller, much cheaper and less noisy. Anyone have tried it?

The problem is that most smartphones don't have CPUs that support the X86 instruction set because they often base on the ARM architecture. Thus, the versions you can download won't run there. There have been attempts to run a linux server on a Raspberry Pi (also ARM architecture), but I don't know if anyone succeeded in trying that.
