Pball2 on linux, probs
« on: December 24, 2016, 05:43:43 PM »
Hello, I ran into problem on Linux - Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS, basic one (Unity)

I installed all required libraries, even forced installation of libs for 32bit architecture.

With commands or without it I start the game without any problems. I can set up the settings, name etc. if I join any server I will be kicked and t-banned.

+ also my sensitivity is fcked up even tho I uncheck RAW Input. When I say fcked, it's fcked a lot.

sshots added.

After joining into any server /localhost/online server I will be able to be connected for like 10 seconds, then get kicked and temp-banned.
PB2 console:
Corrupted missing files or server packet loss. If this happens again you may need to reinstall your game.

Connection refused.

Temp-banned.

+I want to ask if this game would work on SELinux.

Temp-banned on any server I try to connect

Run the windows version with wine, it works better than the linux version, honestly. Jitspoe intercoursed up the linux version.

You installed all of these? libgcrypt, libgpg-error, libjpeg, libpng12, libstdc++, libpthread, libgcc_s, libXxf86vm, libXau, libXdmcp, libXext, libXdamage, libXfixes, libdrm, libX11, libGL, libxcb, libz, libdl, librt, libm, libc.

Running .exe files with Wine doesn't work everytime at least without bugs. It's like 50/50.

It's been 4 days without answer so I managed to fix it by myself, but thanks anyways. Yes, I installed all the required libs for 32bit architecture. The problem was with the libgcrypt, I had to install older version.

I just don't know the problem with sensitivity ingame. I tried both RAW on and off, same story. When RAW is off it should do "angle snapping" by more pixels. RAW on should be butter smooth while moving mouse. It feels like linux version does have it's own mouse settings/sensitivity movement. In my free time (tomorrow or in 2 days) I can record my hand + with screen on win10 and linux. My mouse settings and OS mouse settings are same.

On windows I can aim smoothly and aim pretty fast on any location. On linux I aim smoothly while slowly moving mouse but when I move my mouse quickly to different location, it feels like it does have delay and it's inconsistent crosshair movement. It feels really weird.

The mouse support in Linux is awful.  Raw mouse support does not work in the Linux version.  I think it's using the xwindows mouse input, which has weird acceleration that is horrible and framerate-dependent.  I think you can disable it by editing some xwindows config files or something.
