Spell Check on Post
« on: September 08, 2006, 01:11:29 PM »
It's kind of frustrating how many people don't bother to use the spell check when it's built right into the forum, so I have a solution, but not much time to spare to work on it, so I thought I'd throw this out there for anybody who is bored and feels like contributing something.  It should actually be pretty simple to do -- just some javascript.  Make it so when you click "Post" the first time, it opens the spell check window.  After that, you can post normally.

Welcome to the world of coding.  2% of your time is spent writing code.  98% of the time is spent figuring out why it didn't work.

Looks like it worked.  I made a couple minor changes.  Hopefully people with cached versions of the javascript won't have issues.

Doesn't windows have it's own spellchecker?

In mac when you type a wrong word it automatically puts little red dots under the word...

In Safari? That's not the Operating System, that's the Web Browser. Firefox b2 also has this.
