Qeustion on indune map

I have recently seen a number of folks run through the boxes in the corners and it apparently takes them to the base.

Is this just a hidden map feature or is it something else?

Incidentally, what is wall hacking ,as this sounds like something it could be, but not sure what is meant by the term
