Other Games Like DP2

Well I am loving this DP2 game, not been playing long but seem to be doing OK, anyhow its only fun.

I was curious to know if their are any other games like this that can be played on-line ? with other people around the globe.

Just open source or free ones, I am not being a tight, i do play URT and Counter Strike from time to time, which cost so I am not adverse to buying a game.

But the open source ones seem a little more fun and raw so to speak.

Any links would be great.

This is the reason for my long inactivity, I'm one of the developers on the team making this.

Paintball 3D is a MMOFPS that hopefully will play out much like DP2 but with MMO features like upgradeable guns, character stats, and the like.
I would never try to replace DP2, but hopefully we can make a game thats at least equally fun.

Ya, at this point we have only done allot of the tactical markers, so the "normal" or speedball markers are lacking. We actually have our first on-line test today, if anybody is interested I'll post how it went.

Anyway, i don't want to compete with this game, i know its nearly impossible to get the fun factor that this game has...

get on Tremulous! love that game plus you can download F.E.A.R. Multiplayer for free, it takes up a lot of space and it does that a decent computer to run, but its a lot of fun. Nothing like working around penetrating people with metal spikes  ;D. for me at least sometime paintballs just aren't enough....
