What?
DPCon (Digital Paint Conference) is basically a big LAN (Local Area Network) party just for Paintball2. In other words, we all get together in one big room with our computers networked together and play. We'll have tournaments, pickup games, free for alls, pizza, prizes, and lots of other stuff. The next day we'll play some real paintball, too!

Why?
Actually meet a bunch of the people you've been playing with online for... years? Get out and socialize, but you won't have to leave your beloved computer behind! Hear your enemy scream after you nailed him when he was 2 inches away from capturing the flag! Play with no lag! Just shout out something rather than having to deal with typing it! You'll get to hear FourthX spin some discs live.

Where?
Atlantis Gaming Center in Matthews, NC (just outside of Charlotte). If you need help getting there, visit the DPCon Transportation thread and see if you can find someone able to give you a lift.

When?
The weekend of August 21st. It will run primarily Saturday and Sunday, but we might figure out something to do if there are enough people around on Friday night.

Who?
This thread has a list of everyone signed up so far. If you think you can come, sign up! I need to get a good idea of how many people are coming as soon as possible.

How much?
$25-$30 for the LAN
$30 for the hotel (if you share a room).
$10-$30 for paintball (depends if your bring your own equipment)

What Should I Bring?
- Your computer, complete with a network card and ethernet cable if you can. If not, no sweat. There will be some computers provided.
- Paintball equipment, if you don't want to rent it.
- Some cash for food, a hotel room, the LAN party, and paintball.
- Deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, and other things of that nature (please use them, too).

What Shouldn't I Bring?
- A bad attitude.
- Cheats or hacks of any kind. If we catch you cheating, we will collectively beat you to a pulp and burninate your computer!

Anything Else?
If you have more questions, or if you have suggestions for things to do at DPCon, post them below. The current plan is to play the Digital version on Saturday, then the Real version on Sunday.

Make sure you find out the fields policy on players <18, and get all the paperwork needed scanned in and posted here so them thar youngins can play reel whorld pint-ball too.

As I recall it usually requires a release form signed by a parent in front of a notary public.

hey i was just thinking you guys want to do real paintball the next day what if its raining? will the field still be open if not then what are you guys gonna do play another day of compter paintball?

that would be cool 2 dp cons and having a east vs west match only prob i see is say there are 15 guys that go to the east one and only 10 that go to the west one that will leave 5 guys out of the match. or they would have to sub but i think it could still work.

Any suggestions for the shirt design?

I was planning to add another guy to it, but I might just leave it like this. I was also thinking of having him hold the flag in his left hand.

yea flag in his left hand would be good and change the back ground color so its a little easyer to see but then again im not going so i wont be winning it anyways.

I can see it pretty well on that color...

An idea I have for the back:

I might have some text below it, like "Don't be afraid to jump."

well i can see the guy np too but it would be clearer with a differnt back ground color. i dont like the back at all i dont see anything that says it has to do with dp.

I'll try to get a variety of colors. It's hard to say exactly what it will look like in print.
