Build 011 Feedback
« on: August 24, 2004, 05:51:43 PM »
There are already several bugs that have been discovered so I may skip a full blown build 11 release and go straight to build 12.

- Player ID stays on after map change (fixed in later version of build 11).
- Hitting chat while in a menu (or bringing focus away from the menu in another manner) can cause the mouse looking to break (fixed in later version of build 11).
- Server bug -- random crashes (fixed at DPCon).
- Menu/scoreboard bug -- hitting the arrow keys while viewing scores sometimes causes crashes (fxed at DPCon).
- Scoreboard is sometimes blank (not fixed yet -- haven't determined cause).
- Screwed up mipmapping (textures at a distance are messed up - often player skins morph between 2 or 3 different textures) -- thought to be an ATI driver bug, unconfirmed.
- Individual flag indicator on scoreboard stays on after round ends (not fixed yet).

Let me know if you find anything else.

this isn't a bug, but all the kill messages in the middle of the screen are kinda distracting...could you move it somewhere else? (like just above the hud?)

I plan to make it configurable.  It should only show the people you kill (or killed you) in the center.  Personally I find it one of the best features since there's almost never enough time to read the top of the screen to see if you actually got somebody or not.

in bsp, if you don't apply a texture to an object...the "blank" texture.

Why would you not apply a texture to an object?

just as a for a quick "testing"... This isn't really a bug, but it's still new.

I think the player ID bug might be lingering a bit. I had problems with it carrying over the mapchange during camera view. I'll try to reproduce it and I'll get back to you.

By the way, you can use the 'black' texture for a good "void" effect.
