Oookay, cobo, we need that version of your map.

Also, THE PICKUP IS TODAY! If less than 6 people show up, it's not happening.

Will 10:00PM EST work?  I don't think I can make it by 9:00, and it seems most people come in late anyway...

Hm, I wonder if this forum has a way to post a time that will translate to whatever timezone the viewer has their options set to...

Also, my linux install is screwed up, so I haven't been able to build and test the new version on linux, so we won't be able to play pong tonight.

Argh.  I hate linux.  I managed to get it to compile, but it consistently crashed when a second person connected.  I tried to do a clean build, but my linux distro is so hosed now that it's missing all kinds of header files I used to have.  I couldn't track some of them down.  I really pushed the limit on my lunch break, so I had to get back to work.  I'll get the old version up and running tonight, but I definitely won't be able to make it before 10:00 now.

And we still won't be able to play pong.

There's almost always people available on the public servers online.  If your college's network permits you may be able to access online servers.
Once you're in the game, from the main menu, choose play, then choose join a game.  Press the update button to attempt to retrieve a list of servers online (if your college requires the use of proxies you may experience some difficulties here :().

Alternatively there's a live list of servers available at http://dpball.com/serverlist.php
You can connect to any of these by bringing the command console up within the game by pressing the ~ (tilde) and typing in the command:
connect ip.add.re.ss:port
ex: connect 69.93.11.66:27910

If it fails to connect for most of the servers it's likely that your college has blocked access to the internet game servers.

Let us know if you have any further problems.
