Someone want to give this map some decent lighting? or give me some ideas as what I could do for the lighting, all I did was change the _sun_angle

let me know and ill give you the .map

It looks like the map isn't vised, causing the hard shadows.  That or you have no ambient light.  Also looks like you need to change the _sun_angle by about 180 degrees so the shadows go away from the sun, not toward it.

Just a quick question, how would you go about finding a good angle for _sun_angle?

I added an angles command in the new version that will tell you this, but since that's not released yet, here they are:
unit1_: 72 -25
pbsky1: 198 -65
pbsky2: 150 -34
pbsky3: 85 -38
pbsky4: 90 -30
riverscape1: 194 -26
arctic1: 35 -30

I used the preferred info for pbsky1 but im getting blocky shadows.

The _sun_diffuse light setting helps with blocky shadows, as does running a final compile (which includes the -extra parameter for extra light sampling).
