Need A Clan, Got Skills...Can't Join...No One..

I can't make formal matches due to no Mirc, but I have high skills and would be happy to show/use them against anyone. Most don't want me to join because of no Mirc which would therefore keep me from matches, tryouts, etc. My suggestion is there be a easier way then irc to "Talk" such as on the menu or added in some way into gameplay like "Private" chat. I understand why you might not do this because then you would need block settings and all that, but it would be easier then having to get on irc. Also clans could hold their own chat rooms. If needed you could have a filter with kicking
and all but I don't think that'd be necessary. If nothing else please take it into consideration.
During matches it could also help with "switching out" people if you know where and when the'll be in the "Quick And Easy" chatroom. Not that Dp2 is based or ever was based on chatting, but you ge the point.

Well First most clans dont recruit unless you have mIRC because then they can or cannot contact you... 2nd: its better to have mIRC cause then you can find out the newest things/ideas/players

Yeah Something your used to and you can handle very easy and can do amoazing things with like i can with Scoop Script but i hate Scoop Script's and im looking for a new mIRC to use...

mIRC is just a program.  It isn't required to connect to IRC servers.  There are plenty of other clients that will do the same.  You can even use the IRC page here to chat.  If IRC ports are blocked on your connection, though, that's a different story.

I know how to get IRC and see the advantages and why most people in a clan need to have it, but like Iron said, it's a bit hard to get yourself around in it even with all the helpful tips and tutorials out there.

I think what would probably be the best for me is a different chat program where I could figure things out better, or something that I'm more familiar with.

True, But Finding Another Program To Connect To Servers Like mIRC Does Could Take You A Long Time..... Just Stick With mIRC and Get Used To It And Play Around With It Untill You Get It Going And Working....

to connect to irc with mirc you simply have to type in a window

/server irc.enterthegame.com:6667 -j #paintball

/server tells it to connect to that particular server
the "-j" tells it to join channel "#paintball" where we chat

to connect to another channel you type
/join #channelname

thats all you need.

Mirc is just as easy to use as Pball2 and even easier to use than Quake2
having an IRC program i a necessity just like needed an Instant messenging program to send stupid spam to your friends.
