Something wrong with my name!!!

Hi....

I am trying to display my name but my name gets cut off, or displayed as no name. How can i fix it...

Use less colors. Each color change takes up a character.

If you use a different color for each character, it is. Limit yourself to one or two colors.

Even a better way to make sure your name doesn't get cut off is not to use color at all.

Sometimes when i don't use colors, it says noname...

That's because you don't have your name set up correctly in general. Add it to your config or something.

If you saw thousands of people jumping off a bridge, would you too?

I tried both menu setup_funname... and by going to setup multiplayer setup ... too.


Of course i would jump off a bridge, if everybody was doing it.

What kinda question is that.

longest I've gotten with different colors for each letter is about 8 characters.  After that it cuts them off.

Names are limited to 32 characters.  Color codes take 2 characters, so if you're doing a different color for each letter, you're using 3 characters per letter, so a max of 10 letters.  Also be careful that you're not putting in multiple color codes for a single letter -- that just wastes characters.
