password not working???

when ever i try to use the remote admin to change maps or what not. It consistantly sais my pass word is bad so i got back into pball/config/server and look and see if some where i have not set a password or made a typo. I can't find a singe flaw! Any advice? thanks

If you are starting a game just by hitting the Start New Game button then the password will not work. That is considered a LAN game. For your password to work in your LAN type exec server.cfg (or whatever the name of your server config is) in the console.

If you want to setup a dedicated (internet) server then check this guide out.

I know that is not LAN but everything depends on what type of server you are running.

First off don't double or triple post, modify your last post instead.

Second I was telling you about a LAN because I didn't know if you were running a LAN or dedicated server.

Third there is no server like that online. So you need to check and make sure that you ports are forwarded and that a firewall is not blocking the connection.

Well, I have been searching the forums and i have found out i need to "port forward" or somthing. Is there any way around it?, becuase i tryed quite a few times with different methods and still no success.

If you followed the guide you would have already done this.

But http://www.portforward.com will help you. That forward your router ports.

Also for the third time you also need to forward the ports on your firewall.

I have my fire wall turned off i just rune avg and adaware every night, and i keep trying to port forward but it doesn't work!!! uhg
