Destroying my computer with Vista was SO worth being able to play ShadowRun.
Really. Best game ever.
EDIT: To make this thread kinda useful, here's what I think of Vista. It looks better, and provides a bunch of little useful upgrades. Unfortunately, the looking better and whatever else causes it make the resources it uses way too high, but if you're on a more modern computer you shouldn't notice. Also, it's approach to providing 'security' is complete crap. It makes you click a button, double-check all your 'potentially harmful' actions. 'Are you sure you want to run this?' 'Are you sure you want to change this setting?'. The Mac vs PC ads are true, in this case. I'm sure there's some crazy way around it that'll make it useful. It'd be nice to disable.
Anyway, I was kinda upset because I couldn't find some network settings before realizing that it's just organized a bit differently in Vista than in XP. The same stuff is there, but a bit more hidden as not to confuse the 'average' user. I wouldn't move to it from XP if you can avoid it. If you have to, dual-boot.
