Global login....wait.....wait.......ESC

It would seem that everytime I try to log in (and I am positive that I have all my info correct)

Connecting to login server.........................................

nothing?!?

I've let it sit for a good five minutes...also, whenever I ALT+TAB out and back in, it says (up at the top)

"Creating DS buffers...using secondary sound buffer"

It is the correct version, everything is right on my end, I just cant get it to connect and its driving me nuts. Could anyone offer up any advice???
