When you create a brush model, the entity data points to it using a * then a number: *1, *2, etc.  This is auto-generated.  Sounds like the map decompiler didn't take that into account, or the brush model didn't decompile at all.   Try deleting the "model" key from all your entities.  Generally it's best to stay away from decompilers as they will make a mess of things.

If there are any model entities in a map, it will give WinBSPC a heart attack. And yes, it is generally best to avoid decompilers.

Just out of curiosity, what map are you trying to decompile?
