They could be legit.  I got an email from planetquake wondering why my bandwidth usage shot up a few days ago.  Turns out some top 100 free games site linked us.  There were over 3000 visitors about a week ago.  I would have expected the record high for the forums to be then.  I'll check the logs and see what I can find.  I also need to check the dplogin.com bandwidth usage.  I'm a bit concerned I might go over with all the recent activity.

But check this out........

All of those are on the first 3 pages of the Cheat Reports and Bans forum.

I think bot.

thats exactly what i'm thinking, thats strange and unusual for 3 pages of guest to be looking at cheats

Maybe it's because of the global ban list linking back to the forum posts?

Edit: It's bots.  Or at least now it is, but there are only 14 guests on:

74.6.19.206 resolves to "lj512168.crawl.yahoo.net"
74.6.19.235 resolves to "lj512197.crawl.yahoo.net"
74.6.22.19 resolves to "lj511969.crawl.yahoo.net"
74.6.24.145 resolves to "lj511651.crawl.yahoo.net"
74.6.20.214 resolves to "lj512016.crawl.yahoo.net"
74.6.25.102 resolves to "lj511522.crawl.yahoo.net"
74.6.67.110 resolves to "lj612203.crawl.yahoo.net"
65.55.209.131 resolves to "livebot-65-55-209-131.search.live.com"
66.249.70.163 resolves to "crawl-66-249-70-163.googlebot.com"
(the rest are legit)

Wonder why it took so long for them to find the forums, and why are they under so many different IP's?

Search engine bots must have crawled to the banlist and linked back to the threads..  It only happened twice in two days.  That's probably it.

The other day I saw it at a record 260 which it is now and the rest of the time it had always been 47 I thought I was imagining things at first there was a fair bit on today but I think the bots are leaving.

Yesterday it was 240 and then today it was 160 last time I checked. So it may be legit after all.

I also need to check the dplogin.com bandwidth usage.  I'm a bit concerned I might go over with all the recent activity.

I think record will be broken today:

Most Online Today: 257. Most Online Ever: 260 (June 24, 2007, 04:22:50 PM)

And here it becomes weird. The number haven´t changed for 5 hours, and there are more people on...

"Most Online Today" != "Users active in the past 15 minutes" ;)

It counts the total number on at one time.  So that was 257 (mostly guests) on at the same time.  Right now we have merely 48 online.
For it to change, we'd need 257+ to log on at the same time again.
