This is getting off topic but if the were an American tournament similar to this all the European (I didn't say German) players would be complaining the same way the Americans are now.

first this is not an european tournament...american people can play (i think theres already 1 or 2 american teams registered)...and being this organized by 2 european players being both owners or at least admins of servers its normal they want to use only their servers.
and tbh there have been a lot of unfriendly comments in irc from american people to euro (mainly german) people.So i understand if they dont want to do nothing to the american players.

Honestly, no.  Well, I wouldn't and I haven't when I played in the (original) PBCUP, which was a 2v2 tournament in fall of 2004. Of course we didn't have a big chance, but hey, play for the fun (especially as that was at 4am :D). I mean, if you don't like the disadvantage of the pings, don't play there, but complaining isn't right either.
